Nothing leaves your device.

There are no accounts, no cookies and no ads. The rain is made in your browser while you listen, and the few settings the app remembers stay in your browser too. The only outside service is Cloudflare, which hosts the site and counts visits without cookies.

What is kept, and where

So the app opens the way you left it, your browser's own storage (localStorage) keeps:

• your sound mix, timer and listening setting;
• your picture settings;
• the last room you were in;
• a note that the first-visit hint about the rooms has been shown.

None of this is sent anywhere. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.

Working offline

After your first visit, the site stores its own files on your device (with a service worker) so it keeps working without a connection. These are copies of the site itself, not information about you.

What the site does not do

• It does not use the microphone or camera.
• It does not load fonts or images from any other company. The one outside script is Cloudflare's visit counter, described below.
• It does not track you between visits or across other sites, and shows no ads.

Counting visits

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which rooms they open. It does not use cookies or anything stored in your browser, and it is not used to follow you across sites. It records things like the page visited, the site that linked here, the type of device and browser, the country the visit came from, and how quickly the page loaded. We only ever see these as totals.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it receives the technical details every browser sends when it asks for a page, such as your IP address and browser type, and may keep them briefly to run and protect the service.
